Course Times All courses begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. each day except for the 2 1/2 day EEG Board Prep Course that ends at 12:00 noon on Saturday. When scheduling a return flight on the final day of the course, departure times after 7:00 p.m. are recommended.
Registration Deadline Registrations are accepted up to one day before the course begins. Our class sizes are limited to ensure an optimal educational experience, we recommend submitting registrations early to ensure enrollment in the course. Course registration must be accompanied by payment to be guaranteed.

Admission Requirements We accept all students into our courses as there are no prerequisites or minimum educational qualifications required for enrollment. It is recommended that the course descriptions be reviewed to ensure the material covered is appropriate for the learning objectives.
We are pleased to be able to offer an educational format that is appropriate for professionals with varying educational backgrounds including medical assistants, physicians, technologists, nurses, surgical technologists, chiropractors, engineers, and business professionals.
The fundamental courses begin with instruction on basic concepts and are designed for entry-level students. The board exam preparation courses are designed for the student who has already obtained practical experience and is preparing to take the registration examination. These courses are not geared for the entry level student regardless of educational background.
Continuing Education Credits ASET-The Neurodiagnostic Society has approved Larry Head
Institute for ACE (ASET Continuing Education Credits).
ACE credits are recognized by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET), American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET), and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM).
Continuing education credits are awarded as contact hours; one credit hour for each contact hour (course time) will be awarded to each participant. It is the responsibility of each student to maintain appropriate records for and provide documentation of their continuing education credentialing purposes.
Certificate of Completion LHI awards a Certificate of Completion suitable for framing for attendance and completion at each of the offered courses. The program certificate should not be misinterpreted as a credential, license, or validation of competency. Additional requirements are required by the national credentialing organizations prior to undertaking the board examination to become registered or certified.
Professional Certification The organization that administers the written board examinations for EEG, EP, IOM, and NCS is the Professional Testing Corporation. Information on eligibility requirements, dates, and course content for each national registry examinations is available at ptcny.com. The national credentialing organizations for EEG, EP, & IOM is The American Board of Registration in Electroencephalograpic and Evoked Potential Technologists and for nerve conduction studies, American Association in Electrodiagnostic Technologists and The American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
National registry or state licensure is not required to perform EEG, EP, IOM, or NCS although some employers require technologists to be either registered or registry-eligible. Along with all the national professional organization representing technologists, we support and encourage the credentialing process due to its benefits to the patient, employers, and the pride of professional achievement afforded the individual that completes this process.

Tuition The cost of tuition for enrollment in the EEG & Evoked Potential Fundamental Courses is $995; Intraoperative Monitoring Fundamentals Course is $1295; and Nerve Conduction Studies is $650. Payment is due 14-days prior to the first day of the enrolled course. Larry Head Institute reserves the right to terminate registrations that are not paid in full at least two weeks prior to the start of each course. Payment can be made by check, money order, or credit card.
Payment Options To pay by check or money order please mail payment to the address on the confirmation letter that will be e-mailed to you. LHI will never sell or share your e-mail address, please use a valid e-mail address as all communication regarding the course will be sent to you via the e-mail address you use upon registration.
To pay with a credit card you will be prompted to setup a user account with Google Checkout on the confirmation letter mailed to your e-mail address. The name and address of the Google Checkout user account must match the billing address of the credit card account used to process the transaction.
LHI will neither ask nor accept your credit card information.Our policy of processing credit card payments only through Google Checkout has been established to ensure your personal credit information remains secure.
Refund Policy: Refund requests received more than 14 days prior to the first day of the course will be refunded in full. Requests received between 7 and 14 days prior to the first day of the course are subject to a $100 administration fee. Refunds are not issued for cancellations occurring less than seven days of the course date.
Tuition and fees shall be refunded in full upon request within three days of registration/payment. All refunds will be issued within 30 days of request. The Larry Head Institute refund policy adheres to all applicable state, federal, and accrediting agencies.
